If you're a Canadian student-athlete aiming for the NCAA, you need to meet specific core course requirements—but tracking those courses can be confusing. That’s why we created the NCAA Core Course Tracker, a province-by-province tool that helps athletes, families, and educators stay organized and NCAA-eligible using Canada’s actual high school curriculum.
What is the NCAA Core Course Tracker?
The NCAA Core Course Tracker is a downloadable tool designed specifically for Canadian students. It aligns directly with the NCAA Eligibility Center’s April 2025 international guide and helps athletes in each province track their progress toward meeting the 16 core course requirements for Division I and II eligibility.
Each tracker is tailored to your provincial curriculum, making it easier than ever to know which classes count—and where you stand academically.

Why Canadian Athletes Need This Tool
The NCAA uses very specific academic rules for eligibility. Canadian schools don’t always label courses in the same way as American high schools, which can lead to confusion, missed requirements, and lost opportunities.
That’s where this tracker comes in. Whether you’re in Alberta, Ontario, Nova Scotia, Newfoundland and Labrador, PEI, New Brunswick, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, British Columbia, or Yukon—we’ve built a customized solution for your region—no guessing, no wondering, just clarity.
What's Included in the Tracker?
16 Core Course slots, grouped by NCAA category
Drop-down menus to mark courses as In Progress or Completed
Auto GPA calculator for letter and percentage grades
Step-by-step PDF instructions for families and coaches
Designed in Google Sheets for easy digital use (or print it out!)
These trackers work great alongside our other tools like the FREE NCAA Eligibility Checklist, Core Course GPA Calculator and the NCAA School Finder.

A Personal Note from Kyle
When my son was working toward his NCAA eligibility, we had to build spreadsheets from scratch. No one told us which courses counted, and even guidance counselors weren’t sure. That’s why we built these—so you don’t have to guess. Now, other Canadian families have a clear path forward.
